The surveyor made the process of getting my energy performance certificate easy and stress-free. I emailed to enquire and he called me back straight away to arrange an appointment. He is competitively priced, friendly and clearly very knowledgeable. He also came prepared with a mask and kept his distance, and he gave me a courtesy call before he arrived to let me know he was almost here. I’m delighted with his service and would highly recommend him for EPCs.

A Guide to Home Energy Ratings in Newport

Home energy ratings are an important tool for homeowners in Newport to assess the energy efficiency of their home. A home energy rating is a score that is assigned to a home based on its energy efficiency. It helps homeowners understand the level of energy efficiency of their homes and identify areas where they can make improvements. With this information, homeowners in Newport can make informed decisions about their home’s energy efficiency and take steps to reduce their monthly utility bills.

Understanding the Different Types of Home Energy Ratings

Home energy ratings are becoming an increasingly important part of the home buying process. Understanding the different types of home energy ratings and how they work can help you make an informed decision when it comes to purchasing a home.

The most commonly used home energy rating system is the Home Energy Rating System (HERS) Index, which is used to calculate a HERS score that reflects the energy efficiency of a house. This score can then be used to compare homes and identify which ones are more efficient than others. Additionally, this score can be used for green building certification such as LEED certification, which encourages builders to construct homes that use less energy and resources. A HERS score calculator is available online for homeowners to use in order to determine their home’s efficiency level.
